Set beside the River Irfon in the heart of Powys, this bright and welcoming retreat is a fantastic base for discovering the spectacular landscapes of mid Wales. A few shallow wooden steps lead into the pod's cosy open-plan interior, where the lounge, kitchen, dining and sleeping areas are combined in a clever layout. Decorated in calming neutral tones, the accommodation feels bright and inviting, with patio doors that let natural light fill the room. The lounge area has a comfortable sofa, which converts into a second double bed, while a dining table creates a sociable spot for meals together. The compact kitchenette is well equipped with everything needed for a self-catering stay, and the main sleeping area has a restful double bed. A contemporary en-suite shower room completes the pod. The enclosed deck is a lovely outdoor setting, views of the surrounding greenery, a brick-built BBQ area and table and chairs for al fresco dining. Parking is available for two cars, along with motorbike stands. Guests can also make use of shared site facilities, including a launderette and shower block, as well as access to paddleboarding, fishing and the River Irfon.
The surrounding countryside is rich in wildlife, scenic trails and opportunities to spot otters, while birdwatchers can head to the red kite feeding station in Rhayader (17 miles). Positioned between the Brecon Beacons and Elan Valley, both within 20 miles, the location is surrounded by breathtaking scenery waiting to be explored. The spa village of Llangammarch Wells (2.5 miles) and the market town of Builth Wells (6 miles) are close by, with a selection of pubs, restaurants and tearooms to discover.
