Savour the style and sophistication of this sun-soaked Devon lodge. Sleeping four guests, the appealing, two-bedroom, dog-friendly abode nestles in glorious, rural surroundings at Fairy Cross, 5.5 miles from Bideford. Paddle in the sea at secluded Peppercombe Beach, 3 miles away, then return to soak up the sunshine and the scenery from your tranquil garden.

Enter the single-storey property to discover exquisitely finished, light-filled accommodation. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, which has a vaulted ceiling and French windows, is where you will spend much of your downtime. Prepare home-cooked meals in the sleek kitchen, where there are skylight windows, using the delicious Devon produce you have sourced. Congregate at the table for celebratory feasts and unwind together on the soft mustard-coloured seating in front of the Smart TV. At the end of each day away together, savour a restorative night’s sleep. There is a king-size bedroom and a super-king-size room, both with the luxury of en-suite shower rooms and Smart TVs. The super-king-size has zip-and-link beds that can also be made up as a twin if discussed at booking. Spill out onto the substantial patio on sunny days. Recline with a cold drink in a lounger or have afternoon tea on the comfortable outdoor furniture. Play games with any children or pets on your private lawns, supervising them at all times, as the owners, who live next door, have an unfenced pond. There is private parking here for two cars, 25 metres from the lodge.

Grab your backpack and stride out along a section of the South West Coast Path, 2.5 miles away. Head into Bideford to shop in the Pannier Market or dine out. The golden sands of Westward Ho!, where you can swim and surf, are 5 miles away. While away an afternoon pottering in pretty Appledore, 7 miles away.

Our stay of a few days at Little Mead was absolutely fantastic. The property is exceptionally comfortable and decorated with wonderful taste throughout. We had a wonderful two-week stay here in July and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The house is fantasticbrand new, beautifully furnished, and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The rooms are even more spacious than they appear in the photos, and we loved the patio and large garden. The house is located in the Read morecountryside, with beautiful beaches and the coastal path just a short drive away. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always attentive and ready to help if needed while respecting our privacy. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend this property. What a find really is a lovely place to use as your base, busy days and relax in the lovely garden . The hosts were really friendly and was there if you needed them . The place was so equipped ( which I find rare ) the furnishings where very good quality defo recommend.

We enjoyed staying at Little Mead, a homely, comfortable and beautifully furnished property that is a delight to stay in both good and bad weather. Everything was clean and fresh, and we had all that we needed. A peaceful location yet close to local amenities.

We had a lovely weeks stay at Little Mead. The location is gorgeous, very quiet and private, close to the owners own home. They were very friendly and helpful, there if you needed them but otherwise unobtrusive. The property is very well equipped with up to date stylish items, everything you could need. Ultra clean and top quality all the way. GardRead moreens are lovely and large, andmostly laid to lawn with a pond of large ornamental fish. The property is reached by narrow single tracks, a bit hairy but some very nice locals kindly helped us navigate. Would definitely like to return, we highly recommend Little Mead. Hide

The cottage is truly a home from home. Just about anything you would need is there. Great broadband, very efficient heating and all brand new appliances. Peaceful location but easy to get to supermarkets and convenience shopping. Highly recommended.

We had such a lovely stay at Little Mead, the Lodge is fantastic and has been built and kitted out to such a high spec. The surrounding area and views are beautiful and the Lodge is located within easy reach of the coast and a number of great places to visit such as Clovelly, Westward Ho and Buck Mills. The lodge is so comfortable and the owners hRead moreave thought of everything to ensure you have a great stay including providing milk, tea, coffee and scones with clotted cream and jam. Fantastic property equipped with every thing you need. Located within easy reach of coast and amenities . Unfortunately the weather was against us as a storm hit, but the views and garden must be stunning in the summer.

We had a lovely, peaceful week at Little Mead. The location is excellent for the beautiful beaches of North Devon and also for a trip to Lundy Island. The owners were very kind and helpful during our stay. Theres plenty of private, outdoor space to enjoy and it was lovely to sit outside with a cup of tea, whilst watching bats each evening.

We feel very privileged to have been the first people to stay at this wonderful property in one of the UKs most beautiful locations. Both as a base to explore North Devon, and as a tranquil relaxation spot on hotter days, this property fulfilled all of our holiday needs. The garden, in particular, with fish (that we enjoyed feeding!) was a beautifuRead morel place to relax and sunbathe after days out.
