This romantic shepherd's hut offers couples the perfect countryside escape on a peaceful Welsh hill farm at the foot of Mynydd Gaer Hill Fort. What makes this retreat truly special is its location within the quiet grounds of a Grade II-listed farmhouse that's been part of a working hillside farm for six generations. You'll wake up to breathtaking views of Mynydd y Gaer while enjoying access to meadows, an orchard, ancient woodland, a walled garden and a tranquil pond. The farm is home to traditional Welsh Beulah sheep, cows, and even peacocks, creating an authentic rural experience. Despite feeling miles away from everything, you're perfectly positioned to explore both countryside and coast, with the Clwydian Range surrounding you for endless rural adventures.

Follow the farm track past the serene pond and farmyard to reach your comfortable retreat, accessed by four or five wooden steps. Inside, the shepherd's hut features elegant wood panelling, underfloor heating and an electric wood burner for cosy evenings. The kitchen includes an apron sink perfect for meal preparation, while a table for two provides intimate dining space. Through a curtained nook, you'll find the double bedroom beside a beautiful stained glass window feature. A good-sized shower room with WC completes the interior, enhanced throughout by thoughtful vintage touches and old photographs. Step outside to discover your generously sized yard, complete with a bistro set ideal for morning breakfasts and a firepit for relaxing evenings. You'll have private off-road parking for two cars, and you're free to explore the farm's ancient woodland, walled garden and pond, where you might encounter the friendly farm cat, cockapoo and strutting peacocks.

Your location places you perfectly for exploring North Wales, with a pub just 1 mile away and shops 4 miles from your door. The coast at Abergele awaits 7 miles away, offering beautiful beaches for seaside adventures. You're also ideally positioned for exploring Snowdonia and discovering peaceful cycling trails throughout the region. The nearby town of Denbigh provides additional amenities and attractions, while the surrounding Clwydian Range offers endless opportunities for countryside walks and outdoor pursuits, making this shepherd's hut an excellent base for discovering the very best of North Wales.

A Perfect Countryside Escape in a Beautiful Shepherd's Hut We had the most wonderful stay at this charming shepherd's hut a true hidden gem nestled in nature. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how peaceful and idyllic the setting was. Local wildlife thrives all around, and it was a real treat to spot deer grazing in the early morninRead moregs and listen to birdsong throughout the day. The outdoor space is just perfect for unwinding. Theres a beautifully designed fire pit area with comfortable seating thats ideal for evenings under the stars. We spent hours out there, cooking, chatting, and soaking in the tranquility. The hut itself is stunning clearly brand new and thoughtfully designed. Everything from the fixtures and fittings to the layout feels high-end and well considered. The interior is modern yet cozy, with a clean, stylish finish. We were especially impressed with the double shower, which was a real luxury in such a rural setting! Its obvious that a lot of care and attention has gone into creating a space thats both practical and relaxing.
