This property is ideally situated near Devon’s border with Dorset and Somerset, within the picture-postcard Blackdown Hills National Landscape. Honiton is within 4 miles, a charming market town known for its rich history, thriving artisan culture, and stunning surrounding countryside. Just 6 miles away is Axminster, where you can discover more great shops and highly regarded restaurants, including The River Cottage HQ, where you can book meals and cookery courses or visit their Kitchen deli and shop. A 10-mile drive away, you’ll discover Lyme Regis, a must-visit destination, as it sits along the famous Jurassic Coast. The property is also near the National Trust’s Shute Barton, while the seaside town of Seaton, just 8.5 miles away, offers a delightful day out with its vintage tramway, taking visitors on a scenic 3-mile journey through the picturesque Axe Valley or for a sea-fishing expedition.  Bridport offers a myriad of bespoke shops, antique stalls, pop-up eateries and fabulous restaurants and the best Saturday market for miles around with the added bonus of Eype beach being just a mile out of town. Walkers will enjoy Golden Cap, a drive of 10 miles, which offers a stunning 360 degree viewpoint, surrounded by woodland and the sea and great for your dogs to let off steam.

Walk along the paved pathway onto your upper decked area and enter the cabin. Kick off your shoes, and to your right, you’ll see the double bedroom with a Smart TV, USB charge points and plenty of hanging space and some underbed storage. Adjacent to the front door is the shower room, with a spacious walk-in shower and WC. To the left is the open-plan living area, with a dining table. A small but well-equipped kitchen offers a great space to cook up some locally sourced food. You can then enjoy meals and gaze through the window towards the countryside, the paddock and the gardens. Cosy seating faces the Smart TV to ease you into relaxation after a long day of exploring. You’ll have the benefit of private parking for one car at the cottage.

Outside, there is a raised decked area with bistro dining, a lovely spot to enjoy morning coffee with direct walks into the countryside with your four-legged friends. There's a dog wash area for muddy paws or sandy feet. You have your own good sized garden space here and a bridge crossing into the meadow field, with bee-hives and a large nature pond, for letting you and your dog have a wander. We really couldnt have asked for better hosts. So helpful and friendly. The cottage was just perfect. Super clean and a very comfortable bed. Everything was amazing. A great base for what we wanted only 15 mins to the coast and what a lovely part of the country. We will definitely return to Little Widworthy.
