My wife and I have stayed in several lodges all around Britain in the past 5 years and enjoyed all of them, but none come close to matching this one. This place has everything. It is large and spacious, and very comfortable inside and out. It stands on a very large plot, with ample space for several cars and/or to just spread out in front of the buRead moreilding. Two sun bed loungers are provided, with comfortable cushions. We used these every day. There's also a couple of Jack and Jill style garden chairs and a couple of wicker style seats and cushions. If you want sun, there's sun and if you want the shade, there's that too. The hot tub? Well, what can I say? We just love hot tubs, and this one ticked all the boxes. The Lodge is situated just a very short walk from the town of Presteigne, it took us about 12 minutes to walk there and about 15 -20 minutes to walk back (it's on a slight hill). The village is delightful, like stepping back in time with its little shops scattered along the high street. The relative isolation of the Lodge is self evident when you start seeing all the wildlife. Sheep in the nearby field, rabbits and squirrels running about in front of the house and Red Kites always circling overhead. We also saw a couple of owls later at night. It really is a marvellous place and I can't recommend it highly enough, and the owner Charlie is always just at the end of the phone if there are issues, we met her one day when she turned up just to check the hot tub water. Excellent holiday! Hide

Lovely lodge in peaceful surroundings. Kitchen was very well equipped, just mind your head on the corner of the oven extractor fan! Very comfortable but if 6 adults staying it might feel a little cramped. Lovely use of hot tub which had fabulous views. Lovely lemon drizzle cake, tea, coffee, sugar and milk on arrival. Much appreciated.

A Delightful, comfortable and well-appointed property with spacious ground floor living area. Plenty of secure off-road parking. Beautiful rural location with plenty of walks nearby and only a 15-minute walk into the town. The Hot tub was clean and in very good working order providing a very relaxing spot to take in the surrounding countryside. ThRead moree Entrance utility/boot room was handy for stripping off your wet or dirty shoes and coats. All queries during our stay (very few and minor) were dealt with politely by the owners. I would highly recommend and would happily stay here again. Hide
