We recently stayed in this shepherds hut for 3 nights, paying over 500, and unfortunately the experience didnt match expectations. We specifically searched for dog-friendly accommodation with a hot tub included. On arrival, we were told the owner wasnt aware we intended to use the hot tub, which was confusing given this was a key reason for bookingRead more. To their credit, they did allow us to use it during our stay. However, the setting was disappointing. There were no scenic views as advertised or impliedjust a brick wall on one side and a fence on the otherso it felt quite enclosed and lacked privacy. There were also some maintenance issues. The hob wasnt working, which made cooking difficult, though we chose not to complain during the stay. After returning home, we were surprised to receive an email requesting additional payment for use of the hot tub. This was never clearly communicated beforehand and feels unreasonable given the circumstances. Overall, while we made the best of our stay, the experience didnt justify the price paid, and clearer communication and honesty in the listing would have made a big difference. Hide

Digby's Hut is a wonderful, peaceful retreat which was an absolute joy to stay in. Impeccably decorated and maintained, it was a perfect getaway for 2 people who wanted to relax and get away from the real world. The wood fired hot tub is an absolute gem. We may need to return every year!
