Pack a few snacks and head 6 miles to Summerleaze Beach for the afternoon. Here you can plunge into the sea pool, as well as the waves. Sandymouth Bay, 3.5 miles away, is another picturesque place to spend time on the sand. Take to the water at Tamar Lakes, 3 miles away, where you can go canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, sailing and windsurfing.
