An exceptional studio-style upmarket glamping cabin peacefully located on a farm in south-west Cumbria, this captivating property makes an ideal base for a couple enjoying an active, outdoors holiday. For walkers, the beguiling Cumbria Coastal Way is close by, as is the fell of Black Combe which has glorious views over the Irish Sea to the Isle of Man. Cyclists will relish the off-the-beaten-track location with quiet, scenic roads and trails, not to mention fellside tracks for the brave. Just 1.5 miles from the property, the local pony trekking centre offers beach rides for beginners and experienced riders. Head to Coniston for a classic Lakeland day out, where the water sports centre, 16.5 miles away, has kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and rowing-boat hire. And if it’s time for a well-earned break, hop on the Coniston Steam Yacht Gondola for an idyllic sweep round the lake.

A wonderful stay at Dog Crag Cabin. Beautiful and quiet surroundings and good access to lakes and beaches within an hours drive.

Lovely setting. Very peaceful if you ignore the cockerel and crows. Very friendly and accommodating with the dog. Doesnt have a secure area outside for the dog or to sit and chill in the evening. No TV so bring a book.

Stunning location, very rural. Views from the cabin were beautiful. Basic kitchen but pretty much everything you need. Very clean & comfortable. Short drive to the village & the lakes.
