This is a lovely little cabin to stay in and we found it great value for money - especially in peak season. The Park - Atlantic Bays The holiday park itself is clean and tidy with ANPR automatic gates on entry and exit. But its lacking facilities - with just a small bar and a laundrette as well as a basic play park for kids. However, I understaRead morend the cabin is privately owned and to be honest, given the location, we didnt spend much time on the park itself. If you have little ones or teens with you please be aware that while the park offers WiFi for 10 a week, the cabin itself is in a quiet corner of the park so the speed is really poor and not worth paying for. The Cabin - we were very pleased with the cabin overall. Its cosy for a family of 3 or 4. The kitchen is modern and quite well equipped with a selection of cutlery, china, glassware and cookware and is overall very user friendly if you want to cook meals rather than eat out. Cleanliness wise the kitchen was spotless - particularly the oven. Theres a nice little dining table with just enough room for 4 - for family breakfasts and meals. The bathroom was spotless and modern with no issues or real complaints. Just be sure to bring your own toiletries. The bedrooms, like all other spaces, were spotless with lovely quality white bed linen. Plenty of drawers and wardrobe storage space for clothes and bedside lamps in both rooms. The living area - has two comfy couches with nice big extra cushions to get comfy in the evening. The telly is relatively small and advertised as a smart tv, which it is. However, due to poor WiFi provided by the park you only really get use of freeview - but the picture quality was all good. This didnt detract from the cabin overall because , if youre like us, this type of holiday is mainly for days out and on an evening we listened to music and played card games. What we really liked was how well equipped the kitchen was and little touches like the dining table, a coffee table in the living room perfect for drinks and an ironing board and iron. Overall what stood out was the functionality of the cabin and its impeccable cleanliness. Wed definitely stay here again. Parking was ample, as the cabin sits at the back of the park in a quiet corner and has a large carpark right outside the cabin so no long trips to the car to unpack and pack. On the flip side, the location of the cabin on the park makes it feel remote and quiet. We enjoyed the peace it gave but some may find it isolated - it depends on your vibe. Location - the cabin and park are well located for holidays to explore Cornwall. Its very close to Padstow and Wadebridge for supermarkets like Tesco or Aldi and its barely 15 minutes from multiple different beaches. Hide

The bathroom was brand new and modern although not a lot of room to manoeuvre. There was not mat in the bath so was very slippery. The beds were gritty and felt dirty. I asked for the chalet to be cleaned due to the dirtiness of it and I was told it was clean, as the workers doing the bathroom has said they had left it clean. Obviously they went onRead more what was said rather than assessing the cleanliness themselves as there was dust and dirt everywhere. I was told to change the bed myself but looking at where the bedding was kept, on a dirty floor in the wardrobe, it would not have made a difference. Apparently the chalet has had 2 deep cleans since May but that was not evident due to the bin having a terrible smell and splash marks all over it, the fridge was not clean, as was not the microwave. There may be surface cleaning but definitely not deep cleaning, no walls, doors, skirting or mirror were clean and the sofa was extremely grotty. The were very dusty cobwebs everywhere. I am not sure the last time there was anyone to clean the place but it definitely wasn't the day of our arrival. It was extremely disappointing. The location was quiet and seems to be privately owned. There was nothing on the site to do, the website was misleading. Be prepared to pay for WiFi if you require it. The information in the chalet also needs to be updated. Hide

Not a cottage, a holiday chalet, generally good apart from the comments above, I would certainly return.

The cottage is a chalet and with some TLC, could be a great holiday accommodation. The bathroom is dated and in need of a refurb; although the shower was great. The location is perfect and if the clubhouse wasn't shut due to the wind blowing the roof off, the site and facilities would have been great as well.
