Uninterrupted countryside views and doorstep walks set this holiday home apart, offering retreat-style accommodation on the grounds of a working Devonshire dairy farm. Just 6 miles from Tiverton – a historic market town steeped in heritage – the property provides a charming base for exploration. Visit nearby attractions including Tiverton Castle (5.5 miles), Bickleigh Castle (10 miles), and the National Trust’s Knightshayes Court (5 miles), or enjoy a stroll along the Grand Western Canal, where you'll discover well-engineered bridges and traditional horse-drawn barges. Also, within easy reach are the expansive Blackdown Hills, a National Landscape, characterised by rolling valleys, tumbling streams, and a wealth of delightful scenery. Head to Culmstock (9 miles), a picturesque village with a pub, and set off on foot or by bike to explore the surrounding countryside. A bijou choice for two, this glamping-inspired retreat offers a studio-style layout with more than enough space to relax.

Wooden steps lead up into the property, where you’ll find charming wooden panelling, a curved ceiling, and tastefully appointed décor throughout the open-plan living area. Large windows frame the surrounding landscape, offering unforgettable views as you prepare meals in the kitchen or wash up at the Belfast sink. A breakfast bar for two sits at one end of the kitchen, while a Smart TV and cosy sofa are positioned opposite. The king-size bed shares the space, allowing you to snuggle up and enjoy a film as the day winds down. Underfloor heating keeps the room warm and inviting, especially lovely to relax in after a refreshing shower in the adjacent bathroom.

Outside, a private grassy garden area with outdoor furniture provides the perfect spot to relax in the sunshine. Raise a glass and listen to the gentle sounds of cows in the neighbouring fields. Elsewhere on-site, shared tennis courts are available for use by prior arrangement with the owners, and ample off-road parking offers added convenience.

We had a 5 days at The shepherds hut. It was clean and nicely furnished, it had everything you needed if you wanted to stay in for an evening and cook a meal. The views are stunning and we were made welcome by the owners of the farm. We loved seeing the cows walking by on their way to be milked and then seeing them out in the fields. Peaceful and rRead moreelaxing break. Hide
