If you like walking and cycling, there are waymarked footpaths and country lanes to make exploring the area easy. The market town of Leominster (3.5 miles) is renowned for its local antique and curiosity shops, while the beautiful cathedral city of Hereford is only 10.5 miles away. Just over the border into Shropshire is the market town of Ludlow (14 miles) with its medieval castle and Local to Ludlow Producers' Market. Several National Trust sites are within easy reach, including Berrington Hall (6.5 miles), Brockhampton Estate (13.5 miles) and Croft Castle (9.5 miles). Within 0.5 miles there is The Grove Golf and Bowl, where you can play golf or mini golf, go bowling, and have some food.
Set within the owner's grounds and surrounded by rich pastures and meadows, this charming wooden lodge enjoys panoramic countryside views. Shallow wooden steps lead up to the front door and into the entrance porch. A spacious hallway leads into the open-plan living space which has a vaulted ceiling and picture windows which frame the beautiful surrounding countryside. This room has an eclectic style and has been finished with local artwork and reclaimed treasures from times gone by. The cleverly divided space offers a lounge area where you can relax in front of the wood burner and Smart TV, as well as space for dining at the reclaimed table. The kitchen area has a contemporary finish, complemented with open galvanised racks stocked with vintage china. In terms of sleeping arrangements, there are two bedrooms, a king-size bedroom with lovely countryside views, and a twin zip-and- link (that can be made into a super-king by request when booking). A modern bathroom with a rainfall shower over the bath completes the interior.
Outside there is a raised decked patio with table and chairs or an enclosed garden including BBQ and swinging egg chair. You are welcome to wander the enclosed meadows within the grounds where you can meet the resident goats. There is off-road parking for two cars and a lockable shed for bike storage.
