This contemporary lodge is tucked away on a secluded hillside in the southern Yorkshire Dales, offering the comfort of a luxury holiday, with all the cosiness and warmth of a log cabin escape. On the ground floor, you’ll find a spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. A wood burner keeps everything nice and toasty, while floor-to-ceiling windows offer uninterrupted views of the surrounding countryside. The lounge features two comfortable sofas to curl up on, and entertainment is provided by the TV. The kitchen sits to the rear of this area. Its elegant units are well stocked with all the equipment you’ll need to rustle up and serve a family dinner. A washing machine and tumble dryer are also available in the utility area on the landing, handy if you have muddy walking clothes to wash and dry off. The dining table sits by the wood burner, a delight on colder mornings when you can enjoy a long, lazy breakfast by the fire. There are three bedrooms, two of which are on the ground floor. The first bedroom you’ll find a lovely Joules wooden king-size bed and double aspect windows letting in lots of light. Next door is the second bedroom, a twin, perfect for little ones. Both bedrooms share a ground-floor shower room with a walk-in shower and WC. Make your way up the bespoke wooden staircase to find the stunning first-floor master bedroom with a super-king-size bed and access to a private glass balcony. The bathroom is set just across the landing; this room boasts a freestanding bath, separate walk-in shower and WC.
Doors from the open-plan space lead directly out onto the wooden deck to the front of the lodge. With elegant garden furniture, it’s the perfect spot for a sundowner, with blankets provided to keep you snug as the sun sets. And of course, the bubbling hot tub is also here, ready and waiting for you. Beyond the deck, explore the acres of grounds the lodge is set within, discover the stream and packhorse bridge. There are also sheep and cows roaming freely, which graze in the adjoining fields. There’s off-road parking for three cars.
